School Closing & Safety Information

Student safety is a top priority in District 115 and, therefore, there may be times when the superintendent makes the decision to close school. School closures due to inclement weather conditions or other emergency situations that threaten the safety of District 115’s students and employees can consist of a:

  • Full-day school closure
  • Late school arrival time
  • Early dismissal from school

Please review the Parents'/Guardians' Guide to Weather & School Emergencies (Guía para padres / tutores sobre emergencias climáticas y escolares) to understand the district's procedures for making and communicating school schedule changes/closures and what parents can do to prepare for such situations.
