Board of Education Committee of the Whole Meeting

The District 115 Board of Education will continue to comply with the Governor's orders and the Open Meetings Act by allowing virtual meeting participation and limiting in-person attendance to 50 or fewer people.

Participation During Board of Education Meetings:

Virtually:  In an effort to reduce any technical barriers to this meeting format, members of the public will only have the ability to listen to the discussion and view the materials that are being presented during the Board of Education meeting. Anyone who would like to address the Board Members may do so by:

  1. Emailing public comments to Cathy Anderson ( up until 11 a.m. on the day of the meeting. All comments will be read during Open Session, subject to the normal rules for public comment.
  2. Calling 630.553.2805 and leaving up to a three-minute voicemail message. Messages must be left by 11 a.m. on the day of the meeting. The caller’s name and address must be left on the message so that the administration may follow up, if necessary. Messages will be subsequently reviewed to ensure that they are appropriate for a public presentation, and then played aloud during the public comment period on the agenda.

Physically: Members of the public may attend the Board of Education Meeting physically at Yorkville High School Library (797 Game Farm Rd., Yorkville) and if desired, they will be provided a means to address the Board during the Public Comment portion of the meeting. Members of the public who are physically present at the regular meeting location will be able to hear all discussion and votes during the meeting. District 115 will adhere to the guidelines regarding the number of individuals allowed to be physically present in any one space, and all members of the public who are physically present will be asked to maintain appropriate physical-distancing and wear a mask.
