Free Meals for Children 18 & Under


Through June 30, 2021, all children age 18 and under who reside within the school district boundaries now qualify to receive free weekday meals through a program sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture and Illinois State Board of Education. 

Families do not need to sign up in order to participte in the program.

 

WHO QUALIFIES? All children age 18 and under who reside within the Yorkville CUSD 115 boundaries qualify to receive these free meals. This includes children who are not yet school age, and those who attend private/parochial schools.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A “QUALIFYING” MEAL? A qualifying meal includes the child’s choice of an entrée, fruit/vegetables and a milk. À la carte items are not included in a qualifying meal, but are available for purchase for students attending school on-site.

WHAT MEALS ARE INCLUDED?

  • Lunch: All children age 18 and under
  • Breakfast and Lunch: Students at Yorkville Middle School and Yorkville High School, as well as through weekly ‘Grab-and-Go’ distributions

HOW ARE MEALS DISTRIBUTED?

  • ‘Grab-and-Go’ Weekly Distribution
    Breakfast and lunch is distributed through a weekly ‘Grab-and-Go’ drive-through service:

Tuesdays between 4-6 p.m.
Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road
West/Back Entrance -  Door 21

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
Oct. 13 pick up is moved to Oct. 14
Nov. 3 pick up is moved to Nov. 4 

 

  • Y115 Students – On Campus Meals
    • Students in grades 1-12 who attend a Yorkville CUSD 115 school full day on-site will receive lunch at school. However, parents/guardians of students in grades 1-6 may also pick up breakfast meals through the ‘Grab-and-Go’ weekly distribution.
    • YHS hybrid students will receive meals for either two or three days depending on their hybrid schedule for the week. Meals for the days the student attends on-site must be consumed at school and cannot be included as a part of the ‘Grab-and-Go’ weekly distribution.
