Parents whose children will be starting kindergarten in the fall of 2019 in Yorkville CUSD 115 are invited to attend one of two upcoming parent information and registration evenings. Yorkville CUSD 115 offers a half-day kindergarten program.
The District 115 Kindergarten Parent Information and Registration evenings will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on March 5 and 7 at Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road in Yorkville. Attendees should park in the rear parking lot of the high school and enter through Door 19. Parents may attend either the March 5 or the March 7 session.
Starting at 6 p.m., childcare services and registration packet pick-up will be available. From 6-7:30 p.m., school officials will be present to address a variety of topics including kindergarten curriculum, registration, immunization requirements, transportation, day care options, Dual Language/English Learner programs, and questions specific to each school. In addition, a brief overview of District 115’s kindergarten program will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction Room for parents who are new to the school district.
In order to enroll in kindergarten, the child must be five (5) years old on or before Sept. 1 of the school year. To complete the registration process, parents/guardians will need to bring an original birth certificate and three (3) proofs of residency (e.g., current tax bill/lease, recent utility bill, driver’s license).
