The Yorkville CUSD 115 Board of Education approved the transfer of Brett Kueker to the position of principal of Bristol Grade School at its Monday, July 23 meeting.
“I am incredibly pleased that District 115 is an organization that works to develop the skills of our talented employees who then choose to grow and advance within our school system,” said District 115 Superintendent Dr. Timothy Shimp. “From both inside our school system and throughout the area, we have enlisted individuals with extensive experience and innovative thinking that will be of great value in meeting the needs of our students and community.”
Kueker has served as the assistant principal at Yorkville Intermediate School since 2016 and as an elementary art teacher in neighboring School District 308. Kueker received his master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University and his bachelor’s degree in art education from the University of Iowa.
“I am honored and excited to join the Bristol Grade School family and I look forward to continuing and growing the great success and traditions of the school,” Kueker said. “I am eager to meet all of the incredible students and families and to start an amazing 2018-19 school year.”
