    Michele Breyne was named the principal of Grand Reserve Elementary School in October 2019.

    Prior to being named principal, Michele served as the assistant principal at Grand Reserve Elementary School. She also served as a high school dean of students at both the freshman academy and main campus, and taught mathematics at YHS for seven years. Her first teaching job was in the St. Anne Community High School District before coming to Yorkville in the fall of 2002. 

    Michele graduated from Kaneland High School, went on to earn her associate’s degree from Waubonsee Community College and her bachelor's degree in mathematics from Illinois State University. After a couple of years in the classroom, she enrolled at Walden University and earned her master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. In 2009, she enrolled at Aurora University to complete her Type 75 certification and become an administrator. 

    Michele lives in Kendall County with her family, and her children attend Yorkville CUSD 115 schools.
