Sarah Countryman started her role as assistant principal of Grande Reserve Elementary School in 2019.

She taught fifth grade in 2006 at Grande Reserve Elementary School, and then transitioned to a second-grade teaching position for the next thirteen years before becoming the school's assistant principal. 

While attending Southern Illinois University, Sarah earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in English. After spending several years in the classroom, she enrolled at the University of St. Francis and earned her degree in educational leadership. 

Sarah currently lives in Batavia with her husband and their two daughters.
