The 2016-17 school year was Kristine Liptrot’s first year with Yorkville Community Unit School District 115. As the director of communications and community engagement, Kristine’s responsibilities cover all aspects of the district’s communication efforts, serving both District 115 employees and community members.
Kristine is a strategic communicator who has approximately 30 years in the communications field—11 as a journalist covering local education and the remainder in non-profit public relations. Kristine’s career in school district communications includes leading the communication efforts in Downers Grove Grade School District 58, Oswego Community Unit School District 308, and Hinsdale Township High School District 86.
Kristine earned her her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) designation in 2014. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in communications from Benedictine University.
Kristine has been a Yorkville resident since 2001. She has two grown children, Katelyn and Matthew.
