As the elementary and middle school teaching and learning coordinator, Nate Campbell is responsible for overseeing curriculum development and modifications, planning professional development, raising student achievement, and working with administrators and teachers to implement building and district initiatives.
Nate began his career in District 115 in 2005 as a fifth-grade educator until 2017 when he joined the Teaching and Learning Department as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) for technology integration. He moved into his current role as a K-8 Teaching and Learning Coordinator in 2021. Nate worked for five summers at Illinois Math and Science Academy developing units and mentoring teachers in their Summer Sleuths program. In addition, Nate has coached football at Yorkville High School since 2005.
Nate has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa, and two Master of Arts degrees from Aurora University, one in education and a second in educational leadership.
Nate has been a Yorkville resident since 2007.
