As the elementary and middle school teaching and learning coordinator, Leslie Kressin is responsible for overseeing curriculum development and modifications, planning professional development, raising student achievement, and working with administrators and teachers to implement building and district initiatives.
Leslie began her career in education as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher in the Valley View School District. In 2014, she joined Yorkville CUSD 115 as a third-grade teacher at Bristol Grade School and later at Circle Center Grade School. In 2019, Leslie was the Yorkville Education Foundation’s Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Year recipient. Leslie worked in the Teaching and Learning Department as a strategic plan teacher on special assignment (TOSA) for two years before she moved into her current role.
Leslie has a Bachelor of Science degree in geography from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a Master of Arts in teaching from Aurora University, and a Doctorate of Education with leadership in curriculum and instruction from Aurora University.
