Yorkville CUSD 115 School District’s User Guide

Activating ParentVUE Account and Completing Registration 
  • Activating a ParentVUE account is required to complete school registration. 
     

Logging Into ParentVUE 

  • Click the following link: ParentVUE Dashboard Login

  • Use the credentials that were used during your account activation. 
     

Forgot Your Password? 

  • Navigate to the ParentVUE Login page: ParentVUE Dashboard Login

  • Click the Forgot Password button. 

  • Enter the email that was used during your account activation. 

  • Click the Send Email button. 

  • A message will be sent, including a link to change your password. 

  • Click the link in the email and complete the form, including your first and last name and the new password.  

  • Confirm the new password and then click Change Password

  • If the password reset page is still open, use the Click to return to Login link to enter the emailed password. 

  • If you are still experiencing difficulties, contact your student’s school building for assistance. 
     

ParentVUE Home Screen

Student Focus

  • Focus –select from the children actively enrolled in the district. 

 

Left Navigation

  • Messages
    List messages from your child’s teacher(s) and online registration updates. 

    • Click on the message to open it. 

    • Use the Reply button to respond to the teacher’s message. 

    • Use the Close button to close the message. 

    • Use the Delete button to delete the message. 

Note: Messages will also be routed to the email address associated with your account. You are not required to log into ParentVue to reply to messages. 

  • Calendar
    It is recommended that parents use the calendar listed on the district website. Parents/guardians with students in grades 7-12 should reference the Canvas app for up-to-date assignment information.
     

  • Attendance
    Displays information for the current school year. 

    • Calendar View – displays a series of calendars showing days this child was absent or tardy. Click on a date to view more attendance detail. 

    • Attendance Detail – displays absences per course and period. Toggle Detail to ‘on’ to see a list of absences including reason, and notes.
       

  • Class Schedule
    Lists student schedules and homeroom information. 

    • Teachers can be contacted by clicking the name link or the envelope icon.
       

  • Fees
    Displays information about fees and a link to pay outstanding fees.
     

  • Student Information
    Displays your child’s demographic, locker, and transportation information. 
     

  • Grade Book

    For secondary students only: we recommend using Canvas for the most up-to-date data regarding grades and assignments, but you can see progress and quarter grades here.
     

  • Report Card: 

     Displays Progress Reports and Report Cards

 

Top Navigation

 

  • My Account
    Access and update account information. 

    • Click My Account in the upper-right corner of the screen to view information.

    • Click Update Account to edit personal information.

      • Change Password – click the link to change the account password. 

      • Personal Information – this information can only be changed by school personnel. 

      • Auto Notify Email – add any emails to which notifications should be sent. 

      • Phone Numbers – add or delete phone numbers as preferred. 

      • Acknowledged Documents – acknowledged documents are not currently available. 

      • Account Access History – this lists all login attempts by the user.
         

  • Help
    Provides options for assistance.
     

  • Online Registration
    Access to online registration is available during the registration period. 
     

  • Logout
    Logout when finished.
