It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new superintendent of Yorkville CUSD 115. I am truly humbled and excited by this opportunity to serve our students, staff, and community.

As we embark on this journey together, I am committed to fostering an environment where collaboration and innovation thrive. Our shared goal is the betterment of our students, and I believe that by working together—educators, families, and community members—we can achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Yorkville CUSD 115 stands at the heart of our community, serving as a hub to support growth, learning, and connection. As our area continues to evolve and expand, we remain dedicated to partnering with local entities to support and strengthen the Yorkville community as a whole.

I am continually impressed by the professionalism and dedication of our staff. Their unwavering commitment to providing positive outcomes for our students is both inspiring and essential to our district's success. Together, we will build upon the strong foundation already in place and strive for even greater achievements in the years to come.

Biography

Dr. Matt Zediker is the current Superintendent of Yorkville CUSD 115, a position he assumed July 1, 2024. With a career spanning 25 years in education, Dr. Zediker brings a wealth of experience and a diverse background to his role.

Prior to joining Yorkville District 115, Dr. Zediker served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Rockford Public Schools for eight years. His extensive career in education includes roles as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and executive director, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the educational system from various perspectives.

Dr. Zediker completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Iowa, laying the foundation for his career in education. He furthered his studies at Northern Illinois University, where he earned both his master's and doctorate degrees.

Dr. Zediker is married to his wife of 23 years, Danielle. Together they have two daughters, Olivia and Reese. You can catch Dr. Zediker and family traveling to a sporting event or finding a great concert to watch. The Zediker family resides in Caledonia, IL
