Graduation 2020

  • The Class of 2020 will be celebrated through a Graduation Commencement Ceremony for Graduates and their immediate families only  on Saturday, June 27 at 4 p.m. (see details below). A livestream of the graduation will be available for members of the public who would like to view the ceremony.

The 2020 Graduation Commencement Ceremony will be a “drive-in” experience, which will allow families to drive onto the Yorkville High School field to celebrate and experience graduation together. All graduates will have the opportunity to cross the Commencement stage to receive their diplomas, and family members will watch the ceremony from the comfort of their vehicles. While this may not be the traditional ceremony YHS students are accustomed to, YHS administration and staff members are excited to bring this unique experience that seniors will remember and cherish.

In preparation for Commencement and to assist in this celebration, the Yorkville Police Department will be closing Game Farm Road in two locations beginning at 3:50 p.m. Game Farm Road will be closed at Pleasure Drive restricting southbound traffic and closed at West Street restricting northbound traffic. This temporary closure will last approximately 30 minutes or until all vehicles that are a part of the graduation procession enter the ceremony grounds of Yorkville High School.
