My name is Gina Isabelli and this is my third year as principal at Circle Center Grade School. I am super excited to be a part of such an extraordinary staff here at Circle. I am looking forward to opportunities that will help me grow as an educational leader and advocate for all of our learners.
Prior to becoming principal, I was the assistant principal here at Circle Center, Autumn Creek Elementary and Grande Reserve. I have also worked closely with the Early Childhood Program in Yorkville for five years. I first entered into the education profession straight out of college teaching third grade for three years in the Troy 30C school district. My love was for teaching Social Studies and upon one of my favorite teachers retiring I had the opportunity to move up to sixth grade and teach World History for four years. I absolutely love getting out into the classrooms as an administrator during the week and visiting all the learners as it brings me back to teaching and working directly with the kids.
I attended Joliet West High School and Troy 30C grade schools, where I then taught at after graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor in Education from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. During my teaching career I realized I wanted to be able to impact student learning on a larger level and went back to school to earn my Masters in Educational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University graduating in 2007. This year marks my 16th year in education.
On a personal level I reside in Joliet where I grew up and all of our extended family lives. Eric and I have two children, Bella (6 years old) who attends 1st grade and Tyler (3 years old) who attends preschool. Bella and Tyler love coming to our family events here at Circle Center. When not working I love scrapbooking all of our family memories and spending time with my immediate and extended family.
I am so honored to lead Circle Center and thrilled to be a part of such a dedicated and caring school community.
