For over 16 years, I've been dedicated to Yorkville Schools. As a proud parent of three graduates and a former volunteer and substitute teacher, I saw firsthand the district's strengths and areas for growth. This passion for education, combined with my leadership experience, is why I'm honored to serve on the school board.
My background includes a Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, an MBA, and nearly 24 years of leadership as a member of the USMC and U.S. Army. Additionally, I volunteered with Cub and Boy Scouts for over 15 years, fostering a love of learning in young minds.
As a School Board Member, my top priorities are:
Expanding Educational Opportunities: Ensuring all students have the pathways they need to succeed, whether their goals are college, skilled trades, military service, or more.
Supporting Our Educators: Minimizing teacher turnover and creating an environment that fosters professional growth and excellence.
Academic Achievement: Working collaboratively to continuously improve academic outcomes for all students.
My commitment extends beyond the boardroom. I'm actively involved as an Advocacy Ambassador for the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) and a Member of the Board of Control for Illinois Valley Vocational Center (IVVC).
