Dr. Demas pursued his higher education at Southern Illinois University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Fire Science Management and a master's degree in Fire Service Management/Homeland Security. This comprehensive educational background has provided him with a strong foundation in both the practical and theoretical aspects of fire safety and homeland security.

Throughout his career in public safety, Dr. Demas has undoubtedly made significant contributions to the field. His wealth of experience, combined with his advanced education, has positioned him as a valuable asset in the industry. Currently, Dr. Demas serves as a faculty member at his alma mater, Southern Illinois University. In this role, he shares his extensive knowledge and real-world experience with the next generation of public safety professionals.
