The Learning and Grading Plan provides students the opportunity to retake a summative assessment when they have not demonstrated mastery. Students in grades 7-12 who score below a 70 percent on a summative assessment should be given a relearning plan before retaking the assessment. Students who score above a 70 percent may also choose to complete a relearning plan and retake a summative assessment. The student will receive the highest score as his/her final grade. Retakes allow students an alternative avenue to demonstrate mastery of content.
