Parents with a child between the ages of 3 and 5, who live in the Yorkville CUSD 115 boundaries, are encouraged to have their child participate in a Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 developmental screening. The screening is required for entrance into the district's Early Childhood program.

This screening will provide a general overview of the following areas of a child’s development:

• Vision and hearing
• Speech and language
• Gross and fine motor
• Pre-academic concepts
• Social-emotional and self-help skills.
