Dr. Hren has proudly served as the Associate Principal of Teaching and Learning at Yorkville High School since 2021. Prior to joining the Yorkville High School administrative team, Dr. Hren worked as the Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator in the West Aurora School District (6 years), and taught high school social studies in the Oswego Community Unit School District (14 years).

Dr. Hren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from Eastern Illinois University (2001), and graduated with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis (2005). Dr. Hren received her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Aurora University (2020) and was recognized by the faculty with the Dissertation of the Year award.

Dr. Hren and her husband have two children. They reside in the Yorkville community and are proud supporters of the Foxes!
