Don Ringelestein has been an educational technology leader for the past 15 years. Before joining Yorkville CUSD 115, he spent three years in Maine Township HSD 207, where he provided technology leadership through the pandemic and strategically prepared the department for long-term success through structuring the department to align with the district’s mission and vision. Prior to Maine Township, Ringelestein was the Director of Technology at West Aurora School District 129. He began his Educational Technology career at Oswego CUSD 208 in 2008. 
 
Mr. Ringelestein holds advanced certifications in cybersecurity, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Ringelestein earned a Bachelor's degree in philosophy at Iowa State University, and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Northern Illinois University. He has completed coursework for a Ph.D., as well as a degree in philosophy, at Loyola University Chicago.  
 
Prior to being a leader in Educational Technology, Ringelestein worked at Best Buy for 13 years as one of the “Original Geeks” at Geek Squad in Best Buy, responsible for PC services in 30 retail locations. While working at Best Buy, Ringelestein also taught Introduction to Philosophy and Introduction to Logic at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL.
