Mr. Edwards joined Yorkville CUSD 115 as the Director of Communications in 2021. Since his time joining D115, Edwards has taken on numerous projects, including but not limited to: generating a fresh approach to the D115 social media channels, creating a new design for the high school curriculum guide, launching a new D115 website, and implementing a podcast series called “The Foxes Den”.

Before joining D115 he served as the Director of Community Relations for Minooka Community High School District 111 for nearly 4 years. During his time at D111, Mr. Edwards raised the district's awareness and promotion through a variety of press releases, community involvement, social media development, website enhancements, and creating a podcast series. 

Edwards earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Western Illinois University and brings a diverse background of over 25 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, and Community Relations to the district. Before moving into the world of education, Edwards served various convention and visitors bureaus throughout Illinois in roles consisting of Marketing Director, Public Relations Director, and Executive Director. During his time in tourism, Edwards was instrumental in developing award winning advertising campaigns and website designs, collateral and brochure design, video production, and social media campaigns. 

Edwards lives in Yorkville with his wife and 4 children.
