A camp where creative young learners can come and expect to experience something they’ve never done before! From designing a shirt to building with cardboard, the students of this camp will get to use their creativity to make, build, and design things that are entirely new to them. Each day will have a theme or idea that they will create around.

Felting Club
Campers will learn how to needle felt on a flat surface and a 3D sculpture and how to wet felt.

Fox Theater
Theater camp at YMS is an active experience with characterization, stage work, and performance. It is open to students who are entering grades 7-9. This is an excellent chance to make new friends, and get acquainted with the YMS theater program. Students must wear comfortable clothing they can move in and closed-toe shoes. Students must also pack a lunch. Refrigeration is available.
No experience is necessary.

Fox Theater Junior
Come join this fun camp where you will be acting, singing, and dancing in the musical The Most Epic Birthday Party.
Skyler is about to turn 12, and she’s planned the biggest celebration of the year. But in the middle of the party, something mysterious happens - all the adults suddenly vanish! Trapped in the backyard, the kids realize they must create a brand new society. However, when they elect Skyler’s older brother, Charlie, as their ruler, things really begin to spin out of control. Eventually, the kids learn a big lesson in responsibility, while Skyler and Charlie develop a greater respect for one another.
No previous experience is required.
Auditions will be held June 14th and the camp will culminate in a performance on June 21st at 3 pm.

Creative Cupcakes
Do you love to bake? Would you love to learn to decorate? Join this camp and learn the basics of cake decorating. Campers will create borders, stars, flowers, and leaves and will leave this camp with their own cake-decorating tool kit to continue creating at home! Campers must bring a plastic container with their name on it for icing storage.

Fun with Fondant

Sweet Treats

Storm Spotting & Weather Observation
Become a trained storm spotter and partner with the National Weather Service! This two-day camp will provide basic information on storm formation including what to look for as severe weather approaches. On day one of camp, learn to become active weather observers in the community as part of the CoCoRahs Network (Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow). On day two, visit the site of the 1990 Plainfield tornado and analyze its path. The cost of this camp includes an official CoCoRahs rain gauge. More information can be found at www.cocorahs.org.

Twist and Turn your Brain with Rubik’s Cubes and Logic Puzzles
Can you conquer the cube? Do you have what it takes to train your brain? Come join this exciting camp where you will dive into the logic and patterns of solving a Rubik’s cube. You will also have a blast playing logic games that are sure to challenge you!
