The Yorkville High School Softball program was established in 1986. The program is made up of three levels: freshmen, JV and varsity, of which each competes in the Southwest Prairie Conference. Following the regularly scheduled season, the varsity team competes in class 4A during the postseason, which they face many local and state schools to earn the ultimate honor of making it to the final four.
Over the course of program history, the varsity team has earned three Regional Championships and one NI Big XII Conference Championship in 2014. Many athletes and coaches who have worked with, or in, the program have come to compete every day, challenge themselves to meet both individual and team goals, create traditions, and have fun. The coaches in the program are backed by a wide range of experience and ask each player to commit to their academics, the program, and prepare to be challenged each day. Every player is expected to not only grow as an athlete during the program, but make both long-lasting memories and friendships.
Registration usually takes place during the month of February. Interested players should listen for announcements at school, on Twitter, and during open gyms during the pre-season for more information.
