High school baseball is a spring sport in Illinois. The Yorkville High School baseball program fields three teams: freshman, sophomore, and varsity. Roster sizes usually range from 17 to 24 players for each team. Players may play in no more than 35 regular-season contests with bus transportation to and from all away games provided by the school district. There is a single-elimination IHSA state playoff for the varsity team after the regular season is completed.
Registration:
Online registration is available on the YHS Athletics website during the month of February. Interested players should listen for announcements at school, on Twitter, and during open gyms during the pre-season for more information.
