The Yorkville High School library is located in the cafetorium. Its purpose is to provide a wide range of information resources for students and staff. The learning center is open from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on school days. To assure the privilege of using these facilities for faculty and students alike, the school library must have a set of rules and regulations to govern this usage. The student may use the learning center:
- When he/she has a pass from the teacher requiring an assignment.
- As part of a teacher-supervised classroom activity program.
- If they have been granted an early dismissal.
- Between 7:00 a.m. and 7:25 a.m.
- Between 2:35 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Student learning center privileges may be suspended at the discretion of the learning center staff. The learning center may be closed to early dismissal students if needed to provide required services for classes.
