It is with great excitement that I write to you as the new Bristol Grade School principal. I am honored to have the opportunity to get to know all of you and your children, and to continue the traditions and accomplishments for which Bristol Grade School is known.
The 2018-19 school year will mark my 13th year in education. I began my career teaching elementary art and after eight years of teaching, I was named the assistant principal for Wolf’s Crossing Elementary in neighboring School District 308. Following two years at Wolf’s Crossing, I was hired in Yorkville CUSD 115 as the assistant principal at Yorkville Intermediate School. I have served the students at YIS for the past two years.
I am thrilled to continue my career within the Yorkville/Bristol communities. I believe in promoting the growth of our students academically, socially, and emotionally. BGS has an amazing staff and I am confident that with the support of the families and community, we will all work together to foster a positive and successful experience for students. I believe in open communication and the importance of collaboration. My door is always open and I encourage ongoing communication between home and school.
I look forward to getting to know all of the students as they enter the doors of BGS on August 15. The school year will be filled with many great events, activities, and opportunities for learning. I am thrilled to share these experiences with the staff members, parents, and students.
I’m excited for this school year and the partnerships we will create. If you have any questions, or would just like to introduce yourself, please stop in the school after August 1 or send me an email at email@example.com.
