Title 1 and Non-Title 1 Summer Experience (Grades K-7):
The Title 1 and Non-Title 1 summer school program will focus on English Language Arts and Mathematics remediation. The proposed program will be located at Yorkville Intermediate School (K-5) and Yorkville Middle School (6-7).
YHS Summer School:
Yorkville High School summer school offerings provided students and families with a menu of offerings that included a transition/bridge program, remediation program, acceleration program, and enrichment program. YHS Summer School Curriculum Guide 2018
Extended School Year (ESY):
The ESY program is offered to students on an individual basis if a child’s IEP team determines that services are necessary to prevent skill regression. ESY is defined as special education and is provided to a child with a disability beyond the normal school year in accordance with the child’s IEP and at no cost to parents. The proposed program is located Autumn Creek Elementary School, Yorkville Middle School, and Yorkville High School.
Dual Language and Dual Language Jump Start Summer Experience (K-5):
Yorkville 115 plans to host a Dual Language Summer Experience for students who are current kindergarteners through fifth grade. Instruction will focus on developing bi-literacy skills. Additionally, the Dual Language Jump Start Experience will be offered to incoming kindergarten students and span a five-day period. The programs will be located Autumn Creek Elementary School.
- Dual Language, and the Title 1 and non-title 1 summer school programs will take place from July 9 – July 27, 2018
- The YHS summer school will be in session from June 11 – June 28, 2018 and from July 9 – July 27, 2018
- ESY program will be in session from July 9 – August 3, 2018
- The Dual Language Jump Start Experience will take place from July 23 – July 27, 2018.
