New Immunization rule for Pertussis (Whooping Cough) 2012-2013 School Year

The Illinois Public Health Dept. has mandated that every student entering 6th and 9th Grades will be required to provide documentation of receipt of one dose of Tdap for the 2012-2013 School Year. This action is in response to the recent outbreak of Whooping Cough in Illinois. All students entering 7th through 12th grades are recommended to receive the Whooping Cough (Pertussis) immunization as well. Our District's First Day Exclusion Policy will include those entering 6th and 9th who have not received their Tdap immunization by the first day of school. Tdap immunizations are available from your physician or many local pharmacies. Those without insurance may get their immunization from the Kendall County Public Health Dept by calling 630-553-9100 for an appointment.
