Circle Center Students are

Rocking Out

with some Great Books

* With our new Information Literacy and Technology Curriculum, all of our Learners are improving their research and technology skills.

* Students come to the Library every 4 days on a rotating schedule...so some weeks they wil come on Monday and Friday.  Students in upper grades can come to the library on an as-needed basis as well.  Students are learning about responsibility by checking out their own books and returning them ontime.

What's going on in the Library this month: April

We are announcing the winner of the Monarch award for 2014...we think the kids will be excited by the winner :)

Kindergarteners are working on the difference between Fiction and Informational Text books in order to do research.

1st Graders are learning about Passwords - how we use them, when we use them, and why they should remain a secret.

2nd Graders are learning about Screen Name Safety - what makes a Screen name safe, and which ones give away too much information, Appropriate information to Share with friends (either in person, or online) and what makes a friend or a stranger.

3rd Graders are creating their own Screen Names and practicing their speaking and listening skills when sharing them out to the class.  They are also learning about Safety while using digital devices, the district Acceptable Use Policy, Cyberbullying, and what content is appropriate to share online.

All of the above topics bring out a flourish of discussion and stories.  The overall objective is to keep our kiddos safe.

Happy Spring!
