Recently, Governor Rauner’s office presented an opportunity to Illinois schools: to be chosen as a stop on his upcoming school tour. As part of the selection process, interested schools were asked to submit a brief video highlighting the great work of its teachers and students. To create the video for Yorkville High School, teachers and students collaborated to present what makes Yorkville so special: a deep sense of caring for others. Led by YHS teacher Jennifer Waldvogel, student filmmakers Christian Vergara and Andrew Rosa designed a video highlighting Fox Pride through the charitable works of National Honor Society, Key Club, SAFE, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, TALK, Adapted PE, along with the continuous empathic spirit of all YHS students and staff. Celebrate with us as we talk with pride about Yorkville’s Community of Caring.
