2017 Summer School 
 
D115 will be offering 7 summer school programs in June and July of 2017.  The purpose of summer school is to provide students with academic enrichment and remedial learning opportunities.  
 

K – 6 Summer Experience:  The K – 6 Summer Experience is designed to offer students additional time and support needed to demonstrate proficiency of grade level curriculum.  The program intends to provide additional learning opportunities for students in the content areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics. This program is by invitation only. 

-Date(s): July 10-28, Monday through Friday
-Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
-Location: Yorkville Intermediate School, 103 Schoolhouse Road, Yorkville, IL 60560

Middle School Title 1 Summer Experience:  The Middle School Title 1 Summer Experience is designed to offer students additional time and support needed to demonstrate proficiency of grade level curriculum.  The program intends to provide additional learning opportunities for students in the content areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics. This program is by invitation only. 

-Date(s): July 10-28, Monday through Friday
-Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Yorkville High School Summer Experience: Yorkville High School summer offerings provide students and families with a menu of offerings that include a transition/bridge program, remediation program, acceleration program, and enrichment program. 

-Date(s): 1st Semester June 12-29, Monday through Thursday; 2nd Semester July 10-27 Monday through Thursday
-Time: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Dual Language Jump Start: The Dual Language Jump Start Program is a one-week program for incoming 2017 - 2018 Kindergarten students enrolled in the Dual Language Program. The purpose of the program is to teach foundational skills and provide families with resources and information necessary to ensure a successful Kindergarten Dual Language experience.

-Date(s): June 19-23, Monday through Friday
-Time: 8:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
-Location: Autumn Creek Elementary, 2377 Autumn Creek Blvd., Yorkville, IL
 

Dual Language Summer Experience: The purpose of the Dual Language Summer Experience is to provide 2016 - 2017 Kindergarten through 3rd grade students enrolled in the Dual Language program with additional language acquisition supports and instruction.

-Date(s): June 13-29, Monday through Friday
-Time: 8:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
-Location: Autumn Creek Elementary, 2377 Autumn Creek Blvd., Yorkville, IL
 

Extended School Year (ESY): The ESY program is offered to students on an individual basis if a child’s IEP team determines that services are necessary.  ESY is defined as special education and related services intended to prevent skill regression that are provided to a child with a disability beyond the normal school year. This program is at no cost to parents.

-Date(s):  June 7 - July 18 (no school the week of July 3-7)
-Time: 8:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

Camp Imagination: The three-week Camp Imagination program offers students a variety of learning activities and experiences designed to encourage creativity and promote curiosity.

-Date(s): June 5 - June 23
-Time: 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
