Welcome

The Y115 Buildings and Grounds Department is responsible for keeping buildings well-maintained and managing the 200 acres of grounds in the district. Consisting of 60 employees, the maintenance staff of custodians, plumbers, electricians, painters, carpenters and mechanics are charged with maintenance and upkeep of all Yorkville facilities. The primary goal of the Buildings and Grounds Department is to keep children safe and healthy and provide adequate learning spaces.
 
 

Public Notice: Application of Lawn Care Products

Yorkville Staff, Students and Parents:

Illinois law (Lawn Care Products Application and Notification Act) requires all school districts and day care centers to notify students and staff when lawn care chemicals are being used in or around school facilities. Please be aware that weed control and fertilization of the lawns at all Yorkville schools will take place Friday, April 21, 2017 through the end of the school year. We are committed to minimizing the use of chemicals for weed control and lawn care, but at times it is necessary for the proper maintenance of the facility.
